Venue

The Summer School will be held in the easternmost community in Finland, Ilomantsi, some 70 km from the town of Joensuu, at the Mekrijärvi Research Station of the University of Joensuu.

Weather

The average daily maximum temperature at the end of August in the summer school venue area is is +16 C. The average minimum is +8 C. Of course, variation is always possible.

Traveling to Mekrijärvi

Transport will be arranged from the Joensuu airport to Mekrijärvi Research Station, on Sunday, August 22nd. The bus leaves from Joensuu airport at 8.45 pm. The bus stops at the Joensuu Science Park at 9 pm - 9.15 pm.

Trasportaion will also be arranged from Mekrijärvi to Joensuu in Friday, August 27th.
