Cream of an educational charge

I come to this lecture of Mike Joy, to listen about the latest progress in the research of automatic program assessment (student made solutions are marked by a computer). At a point, where almost all students fall asleep, Mike asks: “What makes a good program?”.

“Usability!,” comes a first and hearty response. Andrés looks at me and smiles, we both know. I am in heaven, a student from my course answered.

I call this satisfaction.

I guess this just proves the theory of “fresh” learning, or LIFO … I wonder if once he took that piece of knowledge out, it will ever come back to his mind :)
