THE SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENT AND TECHNOLOGY EVENT FOR KIDS AND YOUNGSTERS

SciFest Joensuu 2007 is a Festival of science and technology, and it take place on March 22-24, 2007 (from Thursday to Saturday). SciFest Joensuu 2007 features events; including popular lectures, game drives, workshops, robotics competitions, interactive exhibitions. The target group of the festival is pupils of 11-16 years old and high school students.

The venue is Joensuu Areena, which is the biggest wood construction in Finland.

Some of the events of SciFest are carried out in internet in real time with Sasol SciFest, which is arranged at the same time in Grahamstown, South-Africa.

SciFest 2007 begins the annual SciFest events. There is no participation fee for this first SciFest event. All the participants have to pay are possible travel, accommodation and feeding expenses.
