Final instructions

Final presentations Wed 30.11. 14.15-17.30

Return the final documents definitely before Tue 29.11. 14.00 so that I can copy them for all. Print the material as you wish it to be copied, e.g. two pages/a4. More about documents.

Return the program code (with instructions, if needed) on Wed 30.11. for further testing. Check that it can be executed in the department computers (ideally in Unix or Linux, too).

Presentations: each presentation is reserved 20 min time. Introduce your topic, solution method (especially modelling paradigm) and results just briefly, 3-4 slides is enough! (People can read the details from documents.) Demonstrate your program and leave some time for questions and comments.

Glögi service on break, about 15.40-16.00? You can bring cookies, raisins etc.

How to assess project works?

Max 40 p. Three suggestions so far:
  1. Final presentations 10 p, documents 10 p, program 20p. Everybody is asked to evaluate the presentations!
  2. Presentations 10p, documents 10 p, program 10 p, validating results (either using data or literature) 10 p
  3. Presentation 5p, documentation 15p, program 10 p, validating 10 p

Final learning diaries

Evaluation - suggestion You can still comment this!

Return all old diaries with the final diary on Wed 7.12.?

Remember that some summary or overview is really important part of the diary. If you want to process it iteratively (and learn more!), return it soon, and you can still get feedback before final version!

Course feedback

Fill the course evaluation query! It is important feedback not only for your teacher, but also the heads of the department. You can give feedback anonymously. Both positive and negative feedback (with justifications, please) and all kind of development ideas are especially valuable information!

As a carrot you can get 1 extra exercise point, if you promise to fill the query.
