Learning Portfolio consist from three basic elements: phase, excursio step and reflection. Phase can include severall excursio steps (in order to pass the course, you must add at least three steps to every phase), and excursion step can have several reflections.
You are expected to fill the portfolio every two weeks. Instructors control the usage of portfolio during the course. If the portfolio is not filled regularly, it will affect your grade.
In order to finish the portfolio acceptably the minimum requirements are:
Portfolio consists of phases (weeks5-6, weeks 7-8, etc.). Every phase covers two weeks time during the course. In every phase there are some remarks about the goals of the phase. Furthermore, there are some remiders of important events.
Every phase includes 5 textareas to be filled. Every textarea in the portfolio needs to be filled. Themes for the textareas are: Own Goals & Plans, Description of Progress, Mood, Success & Failure, Free Text. You don't have to write huge amount of text, but every textarea must include some text. Write text as much you feel like.Every phase can include basically any amount of excursio steps. Excursio step can be any event that occured during the particular phase. Step can be: problem, question, idea, insight, pondering etc.. The idea behind excursio step is to collect and record ideas to and from everyday life. Be open minded and truthful, write what you really think and feel during the course.
Every step has got 4 textares which can be used to describe the characteristics of the step. You can also make recursion step public , so you can share your ideas, problems, etc. to fellowstudents. You can also see other students' public ideas.
Don't hesitate to add as many steps as you come up with, more is better than less. However, you must add at least three(3) steps to each phase, in order to full fill the minimum requirements for the course.
Every excursio step can contain any amount of reflections. Reflections can be added any time during the course. In reflections you can write afterwards ideas and thoughts about certain excursio step.
For example, if the step was a problem, you can write in reflection about the possible solutions or new insight on the step.
