primary target students will have the priority for acceptance

listening the lectures/presentations (20 hours)
writing a learning porfolio every week during the course

learning porfolio is an individual reflection about goals and progress during the course
learning portfolio can contain for example ideas about how to apply the course content in other context
feedback to the lecturers
description about the group assignments progress
opportunity for students to participate in the development of the course in future
reflections about the presentations
it must be returned every week to Jarkko Suhonen (jsuhon@cs.joensuu.fi)
due date for final version of the portolio: 6 th of May (extended)

writing a study that is connected to the themes of the course

due date: 29 th of April (extended) (digital version)
study will be presented in three formats:

poster presentation
detailed presentation
in digital form (web-page)

list of topics for the study
list of selected topics
the poster file should be delivered to Jarkko at latest 2nd of April, 10 am
the poster shoulde be at size A3
the format of the poster should be: *.PNG or *.PSD

doing a learning environment assignment

plan or even make some implementation on how to apply the adaptive methods in some existing learning environment
possible topics for assignment:

the goal of this assignment is to figure out how the adaptive methods could be applied in some particular situation
possible questions to answer:
- what are the requirements for adaptive learning environment?
- what needs to be done to the existing environment?
- how much workload is required?

implementing agent(s) behaving according to specific user model. The agent assignment can be done using for example the Agentsheets program.

due date: 22 th of April
you can try and use the AgentSheets 2.0 at computer room T/B247. The trial version of the program is installed to following computers: CSPC56, CSPC16 and CSPC17.

Grading criteria

The final course grade will be formed from following criteria
