Molecular Computing and Electronics (Spring 2002)

Final exam: Monday April, 29th, at 12.15 o'clock.

Goal
In the molecular computing, the goal is to develop techniques and methods for controling organic and biomolecular reactions so, that these molecules can be used in information processing. In the molecular electronics, the goal is to study techniques and materials for using organic and biomolecules in electronic components.
Topics: Principles of DNA-computing, photoactive biomolecules and their assemblies, entsymatic lock-key principle in molecular computing, organic electronic components, protein based color vision system.

3.-N. year student (in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry)

Teaching arrangements and studies
lectures: Monday 12-14, Tuesday 16-18 Louhela Auditorium
excercises: 2 h/week, times will be agreed on first lecture.
