Impit students,

Since I have been asked, here are topics for thesis available
in our group:

Tomi's topics are suitable for students having taken his course,
or have otherwise background for speech tech topics. The other
topics might be outdated, but you are free to ask about any of
those areas you are interested. Mainly topics are at:

- Speech Technology, Voice Conversions, Visualisations
- Image Compression
- Location-Based systems (both method development & UI Design+usability)

Some of the topics are suitable for 3 months IT Project, but most
are good for IT+MSc thesis jointly. Requirement for students to consider
these are:

1. Passed DAA.
2. One of the following:
   - Have 4 or 5 in DAA
   - Passsed Image Compression
   - Passed Tomi's course
   - Done some project work task for me or Tomi
   - Excellent programming skills
3. Motivation to complete Thesis + IT within time schedule.

If you have not passed any project work so far, consider these as
scholary-based positions. Selected students or topics may have
paid trainee positions, especially in Location-based systems there
are likely to be one or two positions starting 1st June. Either
summer work for IT Project, or 1 year position.
