This application simulates three types of color deficiency. The normal color vision is based on
three types of color-sensitive cones, L- M- and S-cones, which are sensitive to long,
medium and short wavelengths. Each of the provided models of deficiency lacks of one
type of cones. In protanopic, deuteranopic and tritanopic vision L, M and S cones are
missing, respectively.
Choose an image and a type of deficiency. sRGB images and the relative absorbances of the existing cones for observer with normal trichromatic color vision and observer with the chosen type of deficiency will be shown as a result. |
