Requirements Engineering 2009 demos 1

Tasks marked X are compulsory. Answers need to be ready on/before the first demo.

Task 1 X

a Form a group with which you will be working thoughout this course. There should be 2 members. Create a common web-space, for example a blog or wiki (wordpress, blogspot, own html...). Introduce all members of the group. If the members complete Task 2 of this demo, link to it directly from the introduction of the group. At the demo time, present your group and the blog.
b Before 2.11.2009, pick up a topic for project 1 and have it approved by the instructor. For the demo session, bring with you the papers and materials you will be using for the literature survey. Present an outline (main parts) of your paper.

Task 2

This is a task to be completed individually. Write a short introduction: 1/2 - 1 page, and publish it online, for example on your group's blog. Send link to the demo teacher before the demos. Late submissions don't count.

Topic: Introduce yourself and describe one of the software development projects you have been involved in past. It can be your own project, a group project, or an industrial project. It can be finished or in process.
If you have never participated in software development, mention that case in the answer. However, proceed with the task and imagine you have been working on some software project.
Describe your tasks, responsibilities, technologies used, other personnel involved, timeframe and extent of the project. Describe the role of requirements in your project: were there any formal requirements? How were they treated? What did they contain? Would the project arrive to different results and output were there any differences in the requirements engineering?
