General Information 2006
6th BALTIC SEA CONFERENCE ON COMPUTING EDUCATION RESEARCH
The 6th Koli Calling conference aims to promote exchange of relevant research contributions and practical information between colleagues in the international community of Computing Education Research. Furthermore, Koli Calling aims to combine teaching and learning experiences with solid, theoretically anchored research orientation.
The conference will be held November 9th - 12th in the inspiring surroundings of the Koli National Park in Eastern Finland, an hour’s drive north of Joensuu. The conference is organized by Uppsala University, Sweden with local arrangements by University of Joensuu.
The submissions to the conference will be blindly reviewed by the international program committee. Accepted papers will be published in pre-proceedings, final proceedings, and in the ACM Digital Library. The best papers will be invited to be published in a special issue of Informatics in Education.
There will be invited talks and several sessions for presentations with ample time for discussions. As the conference is known for its moderate size, intimate atmosphere, and lively discussions, only a limited number of submissions will be accepted. Last year over 40 participants from 7 countries on three continents participated in the conference. The language of the conference is English.
The conference is now passed. I wish to thank all authors, all participants and everyone who made the conference a success.
The next conference will take place in Koli Nov 15 - 18, 2007. Raymond Lister <firstname.lastname@example.org> will chair the conference, and will be happy to answer any questions.
