Admission to IMPIT

News and updates:

• IMPIT 2010-2012 application cycle is now open. See application instructions 2010.

• The application cycle for 2010-2012 will be open in mid February 2010 and will last 2 months.

• Application cycle for IMPIT 2009 - 2011 is closed now. We received over 100 applications. The results of the admission will be published during June 2009. We cannot respond individually to inquiries about whether an application was received.

• New students for IMPIT-2007 have been selected. We received 142 applications, from which 23 applicants were selected to Joensuu, 5 to Lappeenranta and 1 to Kuopio. All accepted students will be informed immediately by email by the host universities. In addition, all applicants will receive a letter later. Because the number of applicants was so large, we ask you, please, wait patiently. We take care that all selected students get an email and confirm to take the position.

General Admission Requirements

The admission processes in the international masters degree programme in information technology aim at fair selection of high-quality applicants. The general minimal admission requirements are following:

- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

- high English language profficiency proved by a generally recognized test (TOEFL PBT: 580, TOEFL CBT: 237, TOEFL iBT: 92, IELTS 6.5, other comparable certificate)

- motivation and ability to study in competitive and demanding environment in a foreign country
