The second International Forest Camp in Educational Technology is being held at the Mekrijärvi Research Station of the University of Joensuu, in the easternmost community of Finland, some 70km from the town of Joensuu. The Forest Camp event belongs to the group of Forest Camps organized by IMPDET program at the University of Joensuu.
The Camp is mainly intended for postgraduate students, teachers and researchers specialising in educational technology. The program of the one-week event includes one-day workshops held by international experts, active discussions in small groups, peer support sessions and a PhD clinic. Thus, participants have an opportunity to receive support and mentoring from senior researchers for their doctoral studies in educational technology. The Forest Camp period can also be used for extensive and focused individual working period.

Forest Camp is organized after SciFest, the science, environment and technology event for kids and youngsters, to be held in Joensuu, Finland, in March 22-24, 2007.
