Travelling

Joensuu is located next to the Russian border and about 400 km North-East from the capital of the country. It is a vivid student city with over 8,000 students in The University of Joensuu and a further 3,500 at the North Karelia University of Applied Sciences. The European Forest Institute, the University and many other institutes and export enterprises such as Abloy and John Deere Forestry give Joensuu an international flavour.

The Easiest way to get from train and bus station to Summer School venue is by following this map.
From the airport, you can take a taxi directly, or an airport bus to the city center (also follow the map above).

Accommodation

Accomodation for ECSE students is arranged at Summer hotel Elli. The reserved rooms are Triple-room, please specify the roommates when filling the registration form.
