Travelling
Joensuu
is located next to the Russian border and about 400 km North-East from the capital of the country.
It is a vivid student city with over 6000 students in The University of Joensuu and 3500 in North Karelia Polytechnic.
The European Forest Institute, The University and many other institutes and export enterprises such as Abloy, Perlos and
Timberjack give Joensuu an international flavour.
The Easiest way to get from train and bus station to Summer School venue

From the airport, you can take a taxi directly, or an airport bus to the city center (also follow the map above).
